Observation:

  • This park actually has five (5) different cancellations.  There are unique cancellations for The Freedom Trail, Charlestown Navy Yard, Bunker Hill, Faneuil Hall and Dorchester Heights. Dorchester Heights is the only site that is not on The Freedom Trail.
  • The Freedom Trail is an amazing tour. It takes about a day to do in its entirety, but is well worth the effort. It takes you to the Old Granary Burying Ground, where several well known American historical figures (such as Samuel Adams and "Mother Goose") have been buried, past the Old North Church (famous for "One if by land, two if by sea"), through Boston's "North End", and across to the USS Constitution and Bunker Hill as well as to the Boston Tea Party Ship & Museum.
  • I recommend having dinner at one of the Italian restaurants in The North End. We like "La Famiglia Georgio's", but let your nose be your guide!
